I filled the kitchen with the island, leaving only a minimal passageway, and the result is truly amazing! I love cooking and spend a lot of time here, so I have absolutely no regrets. Plus, the space underneath the island is entirely used for storage, so I'm getting the double benefit out of it. I had a refrigerator cabinet built right behind the island, so it looks visually neat and stable. Since I can just take ingredients out of the refrigerator and place them directly on the island, the workflow for cooking is incredibly convenient. Every time I spend in the kitchen, I think to myself that this was definitely worth the money.
