It should be the middle of the rainy season, but it is a Sunday with bright sunshine filling the living room. While I welcome the sunshine, I am also worried about the drought. It seems that moderation is key in everything. In one corner of the living room, the Styrax japonica has put up another new leaf. Every time a large leaf unfolds, the greenery adds to my mood, but at the same time, I find myself wondering just how tall it will grow this time.
