My ceiling fan is working hard these days. It’s the one I use the most, especially in the summer. If you just turn on the air conditioner, only the spot directly underneath gets cool, but if you run the ceiling fan along with it, the air circulates, cooling down the surrounding area as well. Also, I heard that in winter, if you turn it on in the reverse direction, the air circulates downwards, allowing warm air to reach the upper areas.
