#리모델링오답노트 #욕실 #화장실 #욕실인테리어 #화장실인테리어 #휴젠뜨 The things that caused me the most stress while doing the interior… And actually, the things that are still causing me stress Introducing the Bathroom Interior Wrong Answer Note!! <Make sure to check this!!> Did you know that location and layout are more important than tiles or design? It’s not simply about considering the design! Since the bathroom is a space we use every day and is a humid environment, there are more things to consider than you might think in order to keep it clean for a long time and use it comfortably. 1️⃣ Checking the height of the sink They say that sinks in older apartments are usually 750mm high. However, recently, as adults have grown taller, sinks up to 850mm are common. Apparently, many people have naturally become accustomed to this height! However, if you don't mention these things in advance during the interior renovation, you might suddenly feel the discomfort acutely. We didn't realize it at first either, but when we realized the sink was too low during the inspection, it became incredibly inconvenient. Eventually, we had to readjust the sink's position after the construction was finished. In the process, the tiles cracked, and while trying to fix them, more tiles cracked. Haha. That's how we've been living with it ever since. *Sob* 2️⃣ Towel Cabinet Position and Height The same applies to the towel cabinet. Those who plan to use the vanity counter frequently should set it higher, while those who use it less need to adjust the height like we did. Also, if you place the towel cabinet right against the wall, it becomes difficult to manage humidity and clean, so you need to leave some space. Regarding the height and position of the towel cabinet and mirror, if you make these adjustments after the construction is already finished, unavoidable traces will remain. Since it is a hanging type that requires drilling holes, I can't hide the previous drill marks when I change the location. 3️⃣ Aesthetics are Relative The interior designer's aesthetic sense is relative to ours. For example, the towel rack and mirror that the designer initially installed looked very awkward and strange to us in terms of position and height, but they installed them that way because they said it was correct. They also installed the toilet too close to the wall, making it really difficult to install the bidet. It was so disappointing for us that the work was done however the designer pleased, based solely on their own ideas and concepts. So, if I do bathroom renovations next time, I will definitely be present at the site! I think I will go to the site, stand around it myself, and demand a height that is comfortable for us to use, as well as a location and arrangement that looks pretty to us. It would be nice to be perfectly organized, but since everyone has different lifestyles, there is no single right answer! So, I highly recommend considering these things in advance.
