🚨 Bathroom Interior Regret Items I discovered two items I regret buying just one year after moving in. You may have already seen the rust in the video, but I am leaving a detailed review in the hopes that you avoid making the same mistake. 😢 ⚠️ Regret Item 1: Chrome Corner Shelf It rusted in less than a year!!! 😭 I knew that chrome is often used in bathrooms because it is resistant to moisture, water, and detergents, but it rusted. I found out that if chemical substances like detergents or shampoo come into contact with it and then encounter oxygen in the air, it triggers an oxidation reaction, causing corrosion to begin. But the problem is... the reason for using a corner shelf is to place shampoo, body wash, and things like that on it, right?! Ultimately, this means this shelf is not meant for shampoo! 😡 It is a truly nonsensical design flaw. ⚠️ Regret Item 2: Vanity Cabinet (Hinges) Don't install a vanity cabinet either! Unless it is a dry bathroom, you should assume it will rust no matter what. In our house, we diligently managed dehumidification using Hugent and kept the doors open, so humidity control was never an issue—they were dry within two hours of a shower. However, the hinges on the base cabinet, which was installed to store cleaning supplies, rusted after only six months.
