I’d like to share how we actually use the ceiling fan in our home. 1. The ‘low’ setting is best. At first, I only used it on high speed, but I found that keeping it running on low speed continuously actually allowed the air to circulate gently and was much more comfortable. 2. Use it in conjunction with the air conditioner. Compared to using the air conditioner alone, using the ceiling fan together with it made the cool air spread throughout the entire house, giving the feeling that the room cooled down much faster. 3. Direction is also important. Changing the direction according to the season—to direct the air downwards in the summer and upwards in the winter—helps improve heating and cooling efficiency. 4. It’s comfortable even when sleeping. Setting it to low speed rather than high speed allowed me to sleep soundly without feeling stuffy, as I wasn't directly hit by the wind. 5. Don't put off cleaning. Dust accumulates on the blades much faster than you might think. If you wipe it regularly with a dry cloth or a duster, you can keep it clean and use it for a long time. I think ceiling fans aren't just for pretty interior decoration; they are items where satisfaction really varies depending on how you use them.
