Here is my home's "mistake note"... I built a storage cabinet in the empty space next to the round vase zone. It looks neat and fine, but...?! I installed recessed lighting in front of the cabinet doors, so the lights touch slightly every time the doors open. It's no secret that the light fixture in that spot has so many scratches...
