20 Reusable Menus to Use Before Vacation Starts Without Worrying About Saving I call it a meal plan, but I read it as a menu haha. It’s not to eat exactly according to plan. (Actually, I love meal kits very much.) It’s to reduce, even just a little, the time spent opening the refrigerator door every day and wondering, “What should I feed them today?” While vacation is a time kids look forward to, it is also a time when meal preparation increases for moms. So this summer, instead of the pressure to feed them elaborate meals, I plan to reduce the worry by choosing a one-dish menu for at least one meal, and increase the number of days where I prepare simple dishes using just one pan. On days during vacation when you can't think of a menu, try picking one out and making it :) To actually make 200% use of this for 4 weeks, be sure to utilize the 3 tips below as well. 🛒 1. Shop on a 'weekly basis' rather than for 4 weeks. Look at the meal plan and prepare only the ingredients needed for the 5 menus from Monday to Friday. You can drastically reduce your food expenses by starting with basic vegetables that appear in multiple dishes, such as onions, green onions, cabbage, and bean sprouts. 📌 2. Let go of the obsession with sticking to perfection It is okay to eat Monday's menu on Tuesday, and it is fine to skip a day on days you order delivery. The real purpose of a meal plan isn't perfect execution, but to lighten the burden on moms who worry every day, "What should I eat today?" 🍳 3. Plan different menus while overlapping ingredients Buying completely different ingredients every day makes grocery shopping difficult and results in more food being wasted. The key is an "ingredient Tetris" approach: rotating a pack of pork for Bulgogi, fried rice, and Duruchigi, and utilizing a single cabbage for Dakgalbi, stir-fried vegetables, and Tteokbokki. Capture and save the menus in the video and images, and try picking one out to make on days during vacation when you can't think of a menu :) #오홈스토랑
