One of the first things you have to decide when starting an interior renovation is the flooring material. Since I aimed for an overall warm mood with a blend of cream and wood, I looked into wood flooring. While real wood flooring is incredibly luxurious and beautiful, the maintenance and cost were too burdensome, so I passed on it and chose engineered wood flooring instead. Among the options, I carefully considered whether it offered the most natural wood grain or texture, if it was durable, if the color wasn't too yellow, and if it was wide plank. The Grand Texture Grand Steady 165 from Kujung Maru that I selected seemed to satisfy almost all of those criteria. However, when comparing the sample view with the finished installation, it was brighter than I had expected. Yet, depending on the lighting, the wood tone would sometimes appear darker, and there were also times when the exact color I wanted would emerge. (It appears darker under warm white or warm white lighting in the afternoon, or when the sun is just setting, rather than in bright natural light.) Since small samples may differ from the actual materials coming from the factory, I recommend obtaining a large sample to hold directly against your space, or visiting a showroom where you can see large flooring samples to touch, view, and hold them up to the light. This will help you match the color you want more accurately.
