One of the things I agonized over the most while doing the interior design was the flooring. I believed that wallpaper and flooring were the most decisive factors in determining the atmosphere of a home. Initially, I looked for flooring with a solid wood look because I liked the warm vibe unique to hardwood floors. However, as I also considered maintenance, I naturally started looking into engineered wood flooring, and just as I was about to make a decision, I stumbled upon Editon. Actually, Editon was a flooring material completely different from the style I was initially looking for. But the more I looked into it, the more I liked the design, and it seemed like it would be easy to maintain. That is how I ended up making a choice different from my original plan! What I considered most important was durability. In my previous home, the flooring in areas with frequent water usage, like the kitchen, had discolored, so this time I wanted to choose a flooring material that was a bit more resistant to water and moisture. What I liked most about Editon was that it is resistant to dents and everyday scratches, and is also relatively resistant to moisture. Since I have a child, toys and items are often dropped, so I prioritized durability, and it turned out to be more resistant to dents than other flooring options. It has been about two years since the installation in my home, and I am still very satisfied with it.
