My beautiful home with rich walnut-colored flooring ๐ค A review of the walnut-colored flooring installation, which was my dream! My parents strongly discouraged me, saying it would make the space look cramped, but since a small house feels cramped no matter what you do, I just went with the color I wanted (after all, it's my money!! Originally, I wanted luxurious solid wood flooring, but as everyone knows, solid wood is expensive, right...? Plus, I heard it's difficult to maintain, so I turned my attention to other options. I ruled out vinyl flooring because I expect to change the layout frequently. I also excluded laminate flooring due to issues with inter-floor noise, moisture, and poor heating efficiency caused by low thermal conductivity, leaving only engineered wood flooring as the option. Just like solid wood, it is installed using adhesive bonding, so it has the advantage of being less prone to lifting while being easier to maintain. I couldn't afford the expensive ones, so I installed Dongwha Natural Flooring's Natus Duo Texture, which is relatively resistant to scratches ๐ฅน. After using it for about two years, I'm satisfied because it seems like it was the best choice within my budget. I don't usually wear slippers and walk on the floor a lot, so the hard texture doesn't bother me much. If I drop something, it gets dented immediately, but I think that would have been the same on solid wood floors anyway... I'm repairing the slight gouges with dark-colored wood filler from Daiso, and it's not very noticeable! Above all, I love that the deep walnut-colored flooring allows me to create the classic and antique atmosphere I've always wanted.
