📍 I tried to replace a single faucet, but ended up seeing the bare face of my bathroom. I turned off the water supply to replace a thick, ugly shower faucet and struggled alone for a long time to remove it, only to find out there were no tiles behind it. 😢 I had pre-ordered a thin, pretty shower faucet, but since the product was already taken apart, I couldn't return it, so I ended up selling it on Carrot Market... 🥕 📍 The DIY demolition was no different. I saw a YouTuber claiming that a woman could easily demolish a wardrobe by herself, so I thought it would be over just by tearing it down lightly... But once I took it down, I discovered a section with no wallpaper and no flooring. In the end, I applied the wallpaper myself (sticker wallpaper) and had the flooring redone... (🧾 Installation cost: 650,000 won) ⭐️ One thing I definitely learned from this remodeling is this: What you need to check before pretty products is the condition of your home's existing finishes!! I realized that if existing fixtures like faucets, mirrors, lighting, or built-in cabinets were covering something up, you shouldn't assume that the tiles, wallpaper, or flooring are properly installed behind them!! 💯 Here is my "wrong answer notebook": 1. Take photos before tearing things down. 2. Check the area covered by the existing fixtures. 3. Compare the size of the new product with the coverage area. 4. Do not throw away the box and packaging until installation is confirmed. 5. When doing DIY demolition, consider the restoration costs as well. I thought remodeling was completed by simply gathering the right answers, but after actually doing it, it turned out to be more of a process of eliminating mistakes one by one.
