I manage to put together a decent setup without expensive furniture or appliances 🏡 If I had to pick the two things that made me anxious the most before moving, the washing machine + dryer installation and the sofa design..! 😨 Since the washing machine and dryer are older models from different brands, I had a lot of trouble with the installation. After searching multiple times, I found a brand-compatible stacking kit..! It is really safe and doesn't wobble at all. It really shows its capabilities, especially in a narrow laundry room.. lol. Most people probably bought tower models from the start, but if you are in a similar situation to mine, I highly recommend it! As for the sofa, there were many prettier models, but while I was looking for a model that was just right—one that wouldn't get dirty too easily and wasn't too dark— I chose the IKEA Söderhamn 3-seater section. It’s just the right amount of softness, and it fits perfectly in my small, cozy home! The detachable cover is also great for me since I love doing laundry 🧺🫧 It’s only been a week since I moved in, so it feels a bit empty, but I’ll show you how I gradually fill it up.
