Here are the three things I paid the most attention to when decorating my home café zone, as a way to fill a white interior—which can otherwise look a bit plain—with your own personal touch. 1️⃣ Layering Lighting Rather than relying on a single main light to illuminate the space, it is better to place lights of varying heights and brightness wherever your gaze rests. Layering a pendant light softly illuminating the dining table, a small table lamp filling the shelf space, and even a desk lamp creates a sense of depth in the space. The cozy and substantial mood is finally achieved when you turn off the main light late in the evening and turn on only the indirect lighting. 2️⃣ Adding 'Color Points' to a White Base I appropriately mixed color items that draw the eye against a backdrop of clean white cabinets and walls. In the dining zone, I created contrast with yellow and navy chairs, while in the home café space, I added visual vitality with a blue teapot and colorful mugs. 3️⃣ Creating Stories with Witty Objects On the shelf space beneath the minimalist wall clock, practical yet uniquely designed accessories were arranged to add visual interest. Witty objects, such as a colorful moka pot and a cute wine opener, bring unexpected variations to a standardized space. You can experience how the atmosphere of your home changes simply by adjusting the lighting or altering a single accessory.
