While rearranging my desk, I organized the drawers one by one for the first time in a long while. When I took everything out, I realized that most of the items that made me think, "Why was it so cluttered?" were things I had never used or had simply forgotten about.🥲 It is a desk with a total of three drawers. I started organizing by classifying items first, rather than throwing them away. The first drawer was for stationery. I emptied out pens that no longer work and broken mechanical pencils. The second was for diaries and notebooks. Since this is where I also keep my household ledger, I organized the calculator into this drawer as well. The third drawer was the most cluttered. The label printer, photo printer, chargers, and various cables. And surprisingly, there was one item that was really hard to get rid of. Actually, the item I still haven't sent away, which is currently sitting in the hold box, is… It was these empty boxes right here🍏 I kept a few on the veranda thinking, ‘Maybe I’ll need the boxes if I ever sell them secondhand?’ But I didn’t realize they were taking up space in my desk drawer either🥹 Perhaps what is harder to let go of than the objects themselves is the lingering attachment to them. Even though it’s a part that isn’t visible, after organizing the drawer, I feel a little lighter sitting at my desk.
