I've tried everything from deco tiles and vinyl flooring to porcelain tiles and engineered wood flooring, but I eventually settled on engineered wood flooring. Porcelain tiles look luxurious, but stains are difficult to manage. Since the floor is hard, standing on it for a long time can be tiring, and there was a high chance of it breaking if you dropped something on it. Deco tiles offer good value for money, but they tend to warp over time and stains are easily visible. With vinyl flooring, furniture dents were a constant source of worry.
