A loft space for my kids and husband... Since it's a messy space, I gave up on a modern interior and only did minimal renovations... haha. Custom-built furniture for the loft is expensive, so I only had cabinets made for a portion of it and utilized as much of our old furniture as possible to maximize space without any empty areas. We've divided the area into sections: a toy area for the kids (the catch is that we actually have far more toys than this...), a crafting area, and even a study and hobby space for my husband. The kids' friends call it a "kids cafe" haha. Heating and cooling are the biggest issues for the loft, but the heater keeps us warm enough in the winter. As for the air conditioner, installing an outdoor unit upstairs was expensive and complicated. So I gave up on that and installed a window air conditioner instead; it cools much better than I expected. Of course, since the space is limited, we have to run circulators in each zone, but the actual cooling effect is so good that I am very satisfied. If you are struggling with cooling for your loft, I highly recommend a window air conditioner! #CornSoupRecordBook #DuplexInterior #HomeWithKids #SemiDIYInterior #AtticInterior #DuplexDecor #DuplexApartment #WindowAirConditioner #ToyOrganization #KidsPlayroom #HomeKidsCafe
