Five Days of Summer Vacation Visited Our Home 🐾 This summer, a little unexpected guest came to visit our house. My friend went on a trip to Jeju Island with her husband, so I ended up looking after her sixteen-year-old dog, "Louis," for five days. Since this was the first time I had welcomed a dog back after saying goodbye to our own dog of 15 years, I was happy and found him cute, but it also kept bringing back old memories. I cleared away all the rugs in the house in case he slipped, prepared food and water bowls, and waited for brief breaks in the rain to take him for walks frequently. Perhaps feeling a bit awkward in the unfamiliar house, he stood at a distance at first, watching me, but before I knew it, he had found the most comfortable spot on the bedding and is now even enjoying a nap. ❤️ Although he is old, walks slowly, and sleeps a lot, just hearing the faint sound of his footsteps makes the usually quiet house feel quite different. Instead of going on a trip far away this summer vacation, I am spending it sharing warmth with this little friend, feeding him, and watching over him during his naps.
