I decided to visit my maternal grandmother's house tomorrow, so I prepared a few homemade side dishes. As the weather gets warmer, even young people are reluctant to stand in front of the stove, so I imagine it is even more so for older adults. Since the visit was sudden, I did all my grocery shopping—including ingredients and airtight containers—at B-Mart. I use them frequently because orders usually arrive within 10 minutes. I used the Easy & Free Tteunttungi Wave Keep; the material is nice, and it says it is microwave-safe, refrigerator/freezer safe, and dishwasher safe. Since she has bad teeth, I prepared side dishes that are as soft as possible. Just in case, I scored the rib meat on both sides before marinating it. I prepared seasoned shishito peppers with a little fish sauce, oyster mushrooms tossed in perilla seed sauce, and quail egg and potato stew. It was 1 AM by the time I finished cleaning up after quietly preparing the side dishes late at night. Doing things with a good heart is always enjoyable. I hope this becomes a memorable day for my grandmother, who is well over ninety.
