4 Items I Settled On as I Eliminated Kitchen Plastic One by One Hello, this is Sally from Melbourne ๐ค When I lived in Australia, I used to dream of a zero-waste lifestyle, but in reality, I found myself chasing only convenience. To try and use and consume even a little less plastic, I would like to introduce four items that have become a fixture in my home. 1. Natural Loofah These are loofahs that my parents grow themselves and send to me. I naturally settled on them after learning that synthetic loofahs release microplastics due to friction during washing and can remain on dishes even after rinsing. I use them together with a Redecker brush. 2. Glass Condiment Jars I heard that ingredients can leach out from salty condiments like soy sauce and gochujang if left in plastic for a long time. Glass blocks oxygen better, so I think the taste changes less as well. 3. SodaStream (Glass Only) I love sparkling water, so I used to constantly accumulate plastic bottle waste. However, since the model I'm currently using is designed for glass rather than plastic bottles, I can use it with peace of mind. 4. Donggubat Solid Soap With liquid detergent, you are left with a plastic container once you finish using it, but with solid soap, that is the end of it, so it's simple. I use it by levitating it above the sink; it doesn't take up much space, which is great. Itโs not perfect zero waste, but there is a certain fun in switching things up one by one. Iโm curious to know what items have settled into your kitchens ๐ค #MyFavoriteItems #PlasticFree #FTC25thGeneration #NewlywedHome
