The shoe cabinet in our entryway was originally so cramped and blocked off that it felt a bit gloomy every time we entered. So, instead of going as far as demolition, I decided to refurbish it using only the cutting and covering method. ☑️ Cutting I cut the middle section of the existing shoe cabinet to create an open box shape and installed indirect lighting inside. This had a bigger effect than I expected. As it brightened up softly, the entryway itself really came alive. ☑️ Covering I applied adhesive film to the shoe cabinet and front door, which looked rather dull. I chose a textured one, and I was very satisfied because it gave off a distinctly luxurious vibe. I also took care of two additional styling elements. 🪧 Bath Mat on Tile Floors I was surprised to find that quite a few people haven't tried putting a rug on their entryway tiles. I didn't think much of it at first, but after laying it down, I liked that it created a cozy atmosphere and kept my feet warm when changing shoes. 🪧 Mini Broom for the Front Door I attached it to the front door with a magnet and sweep it up whenever there is dirt. I find it convenient to use even while organizing delivery boxes, as it is right within my reach. Since this is a way to change the atmosphere of the entryway without major renovations, it was easy to apply even to studio apartments or small spaces.
