I initially thought of it as just a window seat, but once I actually built it, I realized the space was quite large. It’s big enough to fit a double-size mattress, so it has quite a presence, haha. People usually choose wooden flooring for flat platforms, but matching the floor tone makes it look much cleaner and makes the living room look wider. Since our house has light gray flooring, I matched the tone to create a more cohesive overall look. 🫶 I also made the entrance part into an arch gate (I'm an arch lover🖤) to give a softer impression, and I even made the arch shelves to match the overall look. Choosing the arch shelves in a wood tone was a stroke of genius! 👍👍 TIP) If you are planning a flat platform in an extended veranda space, make sure to install an inspection hatch for the rainwater drain!
