The focal point of my home's interior is lighting—specifically light. Especially during the rainy season like now, even if not much sunlight comes in, the soft glow of the lights adds to the atmosphere. It seems to play a role in softening the sharp edges of the furniture. In the past, I tended to be tense and sensitive, so I was the type who found stability in the warm feeling of light. Although I haven't achieved it yet, my aesthetic goal is to have multiple lights in one space, just like in a hotel. I have memories attached to the lights I've collected little by little over the years, so even though my tastes have changed, I find myself reluctant to throw them away. The paper lamp I recently acquired for the bedroom is charming in itself, even when left unlit.
