#전셋집고쳐살기 #콘스프기록 After getting married, we started out in a monthly rental, but in our fifth year, we moved to a Jeonse home after having a child. :) After spending another six years moving between Jeonse homes, fixing and decorating things here and there, I think I lived quite happily and satisfactorily.🤍 When we finally got our first home of our own in our 12th year of marriage, the know-how we had accumulated back then allowed us to create a more perfect interior.✨ First off, since monthly rentals or Jeonse aren't your own homes, there are limitations to things like drilling holes to mount a wall-mounted TV or building partition walls for fixtures. :) Naturally, you want to avoid things the landlord dislikes, and since coordinating opinions on restoring the property to its original condition upon moving out is stressful in itself, I found it better to avoid them if possible.🤣 So, after much deliberation, I’d like to share some of the tips I applied! 1. Wallpapering at My Own Cost (After Getting the Landlord's Permission!) Since we were going to be living here for 2 to 4 years, I wanted to keep the place tidy and decorate the kids' room nicely, so I decided to pay for the wallpapering myself! I chose wallpaper colors that my child would like and added accents to each room. :) We ended up living here for 5 years, and I really felt that getting the wallpapering done was the right decision. 🫧 (However, restoring the space to its original condition is mandatory when moving out! Fortunately for us, the next tenant liked the wallpaper colors and wanted to keep them as they were, so we didn't have to restore it to its original state, but most people are required to do so. :)) 2. No-Drill Partition Wall I had always dreamed of having an arched partition wall. :) I really wanted to have one at the entrance to the vanity, the middle door, or the kitchen. However, since I couldn't do actual construction, I chose a 'no-drill partition wall,' and I was able to set it up beautifully in front of the veranda entrance. 🫧 The first photo shows the space before the wall was built, and the second photo shows it after it was installed. :) Adding white curtains completes the perfect, neat arched entrance.💛 When I moved in, the next tenant asked if I could leave the arched partition behind, but after much consideration, I decided to take it with me. :) Actually, the height doesn't fit in my current home so I can't use it as a partition, but I set it up against the wall behind the air conditioner, and it turned out to be a pretty cool interior focal point.✨ It feels like I have an extra secret door, you know?🤍 3. TV Stand Although portable TVs are readily available these days, we already had a TV that we bought when we got married. At first, we watched it on a TV stand, but since our child was so young, they would often bump into the stand and get hurt.😅 Eventually, after getting rid of the TV stand, we didn't have a suitable place to put the TV. This 'TV stand' was exactly what I discovered while living in a Jeonse (lump-sum deposit) rental apartment where wall-mounting wasn't an option.✨ It matched our home's wood interior perfectly!🤎 It is movable, so I can install it anywhere I want, and the support is so sturdy that I didn't have to worry about it wobbling at all, even when my child stood up holding onto the legs. :) Although I was able to install a wall-mounted TV when I moved to my own home this time, I actually prefer the unique vibe that a stand provides.✨ So, it still beautifully occupies a corner of our family room.💛 {2 #JeonseInterior} #MonthlyRentInterior #HomeOwnership {3 #NoDrillingPartition} {4 #TVStand} #ArchedPartition {5 #HomeWithKids} #WoodInterior #VirtualHousewarming #InteriorKnowHow #EdgeWall
