Since the entryway is the first space you see when you come home, I didn't want just any ordinary middle door. I chose a tempered glass middle door. At first, I was worried that since it's transparent, the whole house might be visible, but once it was installed, I was satisfied because it doesn't feel cramped and the space actually looks wider. I especially like how hinged middle doors, rather than sliding ones, can completely change the feel just by changing the handle. Since handles are relatively easy to replace, I think another advantage is that you can make changes without much burden even if your interior style changes later on! I have been using natural volcanic stone handles for over a year now, and I am currently digging for new handles I want to switch to.
