My husband wanted the sun to come in in the morning, but I can't sleep with the lights on at night. As a compromise, we hung linen curtains, and added accent curtains to fill in the gaps. We added the accent curtains a few weeks after the main curtain installation, while changing the bedding. I attempted to tackle the curtains right away, using the experience from DIYing picture rails, but hanging the curtains with the correct spacing was actually harder than installing the rails. Thankfully, they were just accent curtains. 😢 Now, we are styling the space by switching between the accent curtains and the matching bedding set. We were told that both of us lack the Wood element in our horoscopes, so I decorated everything in a woody style—a woman with a strong folk faith. 🤭 I really loved the curtains, and they were also suitable for their purpose, blocking out the lights coming in from the distant road at night. The bedding is made of a soft, terry-like fabric. I had to dust it frequently with a dryer, but I was satisfied because the texture was nice.
