I finally replaced the kitchen tiles that were bothering me! Since they are white, they look neat from a distance, but up close they are too plain and a bit yellowish... Should I say they look a bit like old-fashioned public restroom tiles? Because they are glossy, fingerprints and grease stains were very visible, and they didn't look pretty. It was especially annoying because they reflected every time I took photos.😞 I considered tiling over the old ones, but besides the cost, I had to hire a technician, and dealing with all the dust made it not an easy task. So, after much deliberation, I decided to try installing sticker tiles! 🤍 First off, at 1.6mm thick, it is sturdy and not thin or flimsy. It was easy to install, and I liked that it could be easily cut with a knife or scissors. I was so pleased that there were absolutely no air bubbles, wrinkles, or tears while attaching it. Even when I attached it incorrectly and had to peel it off, it came off easily with almost no residue. It is also resistant to stains and heat while cooking, so I could install it in the kitchen with peace of mind. The tile spacing and texture have such a real three-dimensional feel that I would believe it was actual tile installation. I especially loved how realistic the seams looked, just like real grout. Each sheet is 30.5cm x 30.5cm. Since there were no tears or air bubbles, there was almost no waste, so 40 sheets—including 2-3 spares—were enough to cover my 32-pyeong kitchen. It took a little over 3 hours, but I think it would take less time for someone with quick hands. The slightly yellowish, glossy sheen of the old tiles has disappeared, and the kitchen has transformed into a charming yet sophisticated space. I love it!
