Along with the flowers that served as the gift for my final activity of the first half of the year as a Today's House Creator, the finished ceramic cup I created for the IDO Ceramics x Special Creator collaboration, themed "Unfamiliar Taste," has arrived! Since I just sketched it out and submitted it—embarrassing to say I'm a major—I feel a bit regretful seeing the result, but I did intend for it to be raw(?) like that...? Hahaha. My "unfamiliar taste" refers to healthy ingredients and heartfelt cooking methods that I usually avoid using busyness as an excuse. In a daily life accustomed to stimulating delivery food, the process of selecting seasonal vegetables and cooking simply feels like a hassle and I haven't gotten used to it. With the hope of sharing a healthy meal filled with sincerity, and that this unfamiliarity will be remembered as the warmest and most familiar taste on a child's table... 🕊️ This exhibition, marking the culmination of a meaningful journey with Today's House and presenting it to a wider audience, can be viewed at Today's House Bukchon from August 1st to 16th.
