I removed the Domus Line drain spring trap and installed a replacement water seal trap. Water seal traps collect water inside, which blocks bad odors and insects. The existing spring trap opens only when water flows, but if the pipe depth is insufficient, the trap doesn't open fully, resulting in poor drainage. They say replacing the trap helps in this situation as well. Since the pipes in my house aren't very deep, the long water seal trap ends up slightly crooked when installed. I recommend checking the pipe depth before purchasing a trap. I also poured some odor-removing spray into the drain and placed a deodorizer under the sink, near the drain.
