IDO Ceramics Mapeha Edition.. ๐ค You can find it at O House Bukchon starting August 1st! I had the opportunity to design IDO Ceramics' Y-Cup through the project <93 cups, 93 stories>, a collaboration between IDO Ceramics and Today's House Special Creators. The theme of this project is 'Unfamiliar tastes captured in a single small cup.' When I tried to depict 'unfamiliar tastes' that are not my usual preferences, ideas didn't readily come to mind. As you may know if you have seen my content, fruit is not just simple food to me; it is the source of the greatest inspiration for my interior design and cooking. So, naturally, I tried to capture the colors and shapes of my favorite fruits in the cup. An apple with a bite taken out of it, a lemon featuring a vivid contrast of yellow and blue, and so on... I started by drawing colorful pictures as usual, but in the end, I boldly stripped away the colors and expressed the fruit using only black lines. After removing the color, the fruit's inherent form and rhythm actually became more visible. ๐๐๐๐๐ I created this cup hoping that the finished product would be filled with each person's own unique colors. Please fill it with your favorite things, such as water, coffee, tea, ice cream, or flowers! โโโ ใ93 cups, 93 storiesใ - Tastes brought out suddenly Aug. 1 โ August 16, 2026, 1F, Today's House Bukchon Cups completed by 93 creators, including myself, each incorporating their own tastes, will also be on display.
