93 Cups, 93 Stories A Cup of My Taste, Taken Out on a Spontaneous Moment Since becoming a Special Creator, I've had many special experiences, but this project started with a whole lot of question marks wondering, "Will this really work?" Not knowing what to draw, I sat with a blank sheet of paper until the evening before the deadline. I thought about drawing a whole bunch of roses—things I want to grow but can't—but I quickly gave up because my skills weren't good enough. My mind went blank, so I scribbled a loaf of bread out of habit; it was a picture I used to draw whenever I drew since I was a child. It is a bread that appears quite often in Director Hayao Miyazaki's animations, and it left such a strong impression on me that, as I grew older, I even considered becoming an animator. A few years ago, I tried teaching myself baking, but the scoring just wouldn't come out nicely. I had given up on making baguettes after trying a few times and had forgotten about baking, but then I suddenly felt like giving it another try, and that’s how I started drawing bread one by one.🥖🥐🥨 You might wonder what I'm talking about, haha, but somehow, through these cups, I feel like I’ve achieved a small dream.☺️ I have news that these 93 cups, each with its own story, will be exhibited at Today's House Bukchon starting August 1st.📣 (They are also available for purchase! 🏷️) Looking at the other people's cups, they are all unique and pretty, so I am really looking forward to the exhibition (I’m going on the 3rd). There will also be various hands-on events held on-site, so if you are planning a visit to Bukchon, be sure to include it in your itinerary.🍶🤍 It would be great to take your kids on vacation and visit, wouldn't it?
