As a Special Creator for Today's House participating in the <93 cups, 93 stories> project, I was wondering what on earth I should draw when the bright red watermelon I was eating at that very moment caught my eye. In that instant, a fun sense of rebellion arose within me: "Alright! Let's fill this cup to the brim with this bold red color that I would never normally use!" 🍉 So, I coolly filled the cup with that unfamiliar red and wrapped a green rind around the bottom. And of course, I couldn't leave out a spoonful of my own personal taste ⋆｡𖦹 Actually, I don't really like watermelon seeds, so instead, I poked my favorite star-shaped seeds—so much so that I hide them all over my room—into that spot ⸝꙳.˖ That is how the Starlight Watermelon Cup was born 🍉‎⊹₊⋆. You can see this cup, filled with my personal taste and story, in person at online and offline exhibitions starting August 1st.
