The first half of the Today's House Special Creator program has already come to a close. Receiving the flowers and letters filled with the heartfelt sentiments of the management team, I am struck by how quickly time has flown by. I believe that if there is anything sadder than anything else, it is encountering a version of myself that remains unchanged. The world is changing so much, my neighbors are changing so much, and so are distant nations, yet I alone remain exactly the same. Is there anything sadder than a self that does not change, a self with no possibility of change? Fortunately, my husband and I have changed a great deal this year and have grown once again, both inside and out. When I discover that there is growth even in pain—when I find myself memorizing even just one English word to find the strength to overcome it despite the pain— I think to myself, "Ah, yes, I can overcome this again." Active as a Special Creator, I discovered a different version of myself, and I feel that I have grown quite a bit during these four months. How was your July?
