💡Remodeling Lighting Edition✨ Lighting is famous as a construction step in remodeling that offers great satisfaction relative to the cost, and after doing it myself, I understood why! Since my husband and I work and cannot visit the site every day, we personally prepared a PPT plan(?) to minimize confusion with the interior designer and clearly communicate our needs. We marked exactly where to install each light fixture on the floor plan, one by one💛✨ As we deliberated and decided right up until the very last moment, save and refer to these tips for choosing lighting that will give you 200% satisfaction💌 ✔️ Why should you remodel your lighting? While the design of the Bamti lamps is a reason for changing lights, it's likely because the bright main light can be a bit distracting when taking photos, right? Or perhaps it's to ensure sufficient illumination when the main light is removed to install a ceiling fan! If it isn't for one of these reasons, there is no real need to change it. ✔️ What kind of lighting is needed for each space? The lighting considered during remodeling is broadly as follows. I used all of them! 💡Downlights (Recessed Lights) 💡Indirect Lighting (T5 Lights) 💡Pendant Lighting ✔️Lighting by Space 💡Downlights There are two main types of downlights. As the names suggest, Diffuse lighting spreads light widely, while focused lighting concentrates light on the lower area, such as in an exhibition space. ⚪️Dressing room, hallway, entrance - Diffuse type 🔘Living room, kitchen, etc. - Focused type ⚫️3 bedrooms - Maintain existing main lights I mainly used diffuse types only in areas where one or two lights were needed to illuminate the entire space. The contractor installed both types during the construction so I could compare them in person and make an informed decision. 💡Indirect Lighting Originally, I planned to install indirect lighting in the living room curtain box, coffered ceiling, under the shoe cabinet, and under the kitchen upper cabinets. However, after measuring the electrical wiring, I found it difficult to run electricity to the shoe cabinet and under the kitchen upper cabinets, so I excluded those areas. Additionally, since there were curtain boxes in every room, I added indirect lighting right before construction began. I am extremely satisfied because I can create two different atmospheres✨ 💡Pendant Lighting Pendant lights are usually installed above the kitchen dining table. Since electrical wiring is required, you must decide on the installation location and the light in advance. I purchased and prepared them beforehand, so the owner of the interior design company installed them for me! ✔️Choosing Lighting Colors: Easy-to-Confuse Colors! 💛 Warm White - Cool White - Daylight White 🩵 Warm White is a warm yellow light, while Daylight White is a cool blue light. A new color recently released is ‘All-Daylight White.’ It falls between Warm White and Cool White, so it is a pretty color that has a soft yellow tint without looking too yellow.🕯️ ✨ Downlights for overall illumination are Cool White. ✨ Indirect lighting is All-Daylight White to create a softer atmosphere. ✨ Since we weren't sure how the remaining three rooms would be used, we kept the existing main lights and only added indirect lighting to the curtain boxes! ✔️ Additional Tip! My husband and I mainly turn on only the indirect lights in the master bedroom. To prevent glare when lying down, we boldly decided not to install lights at the head of the bed. It is on the dim side even when the lights are on, but there are absolutely no inconveniences, and we are satisfied because there is no glare even when lying down!!
