I had the opportunity to participate in the Today's House Special Creator × IDO Ceramics Project. 🤍 The mission was to design an IDO ceramics cup myself under the theme of "Unfamiliar Tastes." I wanted to capture the sewing machine I recently started on. I had always wanted to try sewing, but I kept putting it off, using work and childcare as excuses. This time, I finally got around to starting. 🪡 I wanted to express the warm texture of the fabric and the sentiment of making things stitch by stitch on the cup, but I feel a little disappointed that I didn't capture it as well as I had hoped. Still, I am somewhat satisfied because I think I successfully captured the meaning of this mission, "Unfamiliar Tastes." ☺️ Actually, after submitting two final designs, I left a note for the organizers saying, "Please choose whichever design you prefer." So, until I received the cup, I had absolutely no idea which design would be produced. Thanks to that, the moment I opened the package, I felt like I had received a surprise gift for myself. 🤍 I’ve kept the teddy bear design that unfortunately wasn't chosen cherished in my heart, and the finished cup has now found its beautiful place in a corner of my house. And I heard that the exhibition starts today, with online and offline voting as well as limited sales taking place. However, there are so many really pretty cups... I don't think it will be easy to get my cup. 😂😂 I guess I'll have to vote myself and take a trip to Seoul to buy my own cup.
