• Making Products That Perfectly Suit My Satisfaction I believe that details are crucial in interior design. However, it’s not always easy to find a product that truly suits my taste, with that subtle difference. So, to save myself the hassle, I decided to just make it myself. The bed skirt shown in the first photo was on the longer side compared to other products, but it was too short for my bed, where I chose a high mattress and frame. So, I bought some lace to sew on the bottom hem, and it looked so seamless that it seemed like it had been designed this way from the start. Since I lack storage space, I keep bedding from other seasons in storage boxes under the bed, and it was such a thrill to be able to completely hide all that mess! The table lamp on the bedside table in the second photo is a product I made during a rattan one-day class. I hadn't even moved in yet at the time, but I worked hard on it with excitement, haha. The shade was originally just a plain white, but I added some Daiso pom-poms when I got home. Do you see that messy hole behind the bedside table in the third photo? I drilled it myself lol 🤣 I wanted to route the Bluetooth turntable cord behind the bedside table. Since it's behind the turntable, you can't see that hole at all from the front. Also, if you put the turntable inside the bedside table, it creates an automatic vibrating effect, making the sound a bit rougher. If you like this kind of vibe, give it a try hehe. The fourth photo is a modest water dispenser area in my house. Placing a large water purifier there would have been too formal, so I wanted to place a small cabinet that wouldn't look out of place in the space and put the water purifier on top of it. And a teapot too. The cabinet had to come forward to plug in the cord, so how do you think I managed it? The answer is in the fifth photo! Yes, I drilled it again lol. I actually put some effort into this one, using a ruler and a knife to cut it fairly neatly. The drawing on the refrigerator in the sixth photo is actually my own creation hehe. The talking character is a character drawn by an artist I got to know personally. I only did the lettering and coloring myself;;; I went to the airport to surprise my boyfriend when he returned from overseas, and he was incredibly touched when I stood there holding that. I wanted to keep that memory alive, so I stuck it on the refrigerator~ I also painted the small canvas picture in the seventh photo. It is a copy of a funny piece I found floating around on the internet. The original artist drew it much cuter, but the caption was so touching that I tried my best to copy it. “Even if I take one more bite, it’s just my fat!” 🤣 The table in the eighth photo, shaped like a traditional Korean latticework, has a long history~ (It was actually made by my ex-boyfriend's father;;;) It isn't very practical, but it's so pretty that it felt like a waste to throw it away. So, I cut off the wooden legs, bought metal table legs separately, and completed the piece shown in the ninth photo. It tastes even better when you set up a lavish spread over there and eat while enjoying the breeze during nice spring or autumn weather. Hahaha. I think the traces of the care I put into resolving minor inconveniences throughout the house, or the "works"(?) created by my own hands, add detail to the interior of my home.
