The Interior Door I Chose After Moving 15 Times 🏡 I moved 15 times during my 20 years of military service. Most military housing units lacked an interior door, so opening the front door meant the living room was immediately visible. In winter, cold drafts would come in, and cooking odors would spread throughout the house. That is why, when I was decorating my first home, the very first thing I installed was a 3-panel sliding interior door. 🚪 The Interior Door in My Home ✔ 3-Panel Sliding Door 🪟 Selected Materials ✔ Vertical Flute Glass I felt uncomfortable with clear glass because the interior was visible, and I thought opaque glass would look stuffy. However, fluted glass subtly blocks the view while allowing ample light to enter, making the space look much larger. It matches my white and wood interior really well, and it remains one of my most satisfying choices to this day. 👍 Living in It Now ✔ Privacy has improved because the living room is no longer immediately visible when the front door is opened. ✔ Air conditioning and heating efficiency have improved, allowing the cool and warm temperatures to be retained for longer. ✔ The mixing of food odors and entryway smells has significantly decreased. ✔ Above all, the 'first impression' has changed the moment you enter the house. ✔ It looks really good in homes with hallways that are directly connected to the door. And the harmony with linear lighting is the best. 👍 Areas for Improvement ✔ Since it is a 3-panel sliding door, the space is narrow even when fully opened, so it is inconvenient that the door must be removed when moving large items. ✔ I am a little worried about its durability. Guests also frequently comment, "The sliding door is really pretty," as their first remark. I initially installed it for the sake of a beautiful interior, but now it has become an item that provides greater satisfaction in daily life than just design.
