I can't raise a dog yet, but I finally have a companion cup... 🐶☕️ I've always felt a special warmth in my heart whenever I saw a white dog with a round face. Just looking at their fluffy fur and black eyes and noses made them seem so cozy and lovely, so I always thought that someday I really wanted to live with a dog like that. I imagined them trotting right beside me when I woke up in the morning, lying still at my feet while I worked, and going for walks together on the weekends, haha. However, since I currently live with my 7-year-old son who is like a wild horse... 😂 I realized that taking full responsibility for a life is by no means a light matter, so I couldn't just impulsively bring one home for my own sake. 🥹 My heart wavers whenever I see a pretty dog, but liking it and actually being ready to take good care of it are two different things. 🥲 So, for now, I am keeping a dream close to my heart: that someday, when Siyeol grows up a bit more, and I have enough time and space, I definitely want to live with a chubby puppy. 🤍 For this Today's House Special Creator × IDO Ceramics project, I brought out this taste I've only kept in my heart a little earlier, onto a cup. Although I can't have a pet dog by my side yet, I wanted the cup I hold in my hand every day to be a small, warm companion. :) On the cup, I repeated my favorite white, round puppy faces like a small pattern, and in the center, I gently placed a large, fluffy puppy face, as if topped with a spoonful of whipped cream. It's a cup that makes you want to pet it just by looking at it, and makes you feel like your eyes will meet every time you take a sip of tea, isn't it? Haha🤣 The name of the design is "My Little Cupanion." It is a combination of "cup" and "companion," and embodies the wish to have a dog someday, as well as the meaning of a small, warm companion cup that will keep by your side every day until that day comes. Even if I can't raise a puppy yet, it's okay to get a companion cup first, right...? 🐶❤️ An exhibition where 93 creators have revealed their previously unseen tastes one by one on IDO's cups, 〈93 cups, 93 stories〉—tastes brought out suddenly. They say it started with the same cup, but was completed with 93 different stories.
