I’ve found that I end up keeping the things I use frequently in the kitchen within easy reach. I’ve captured the three items I use most often these days, in the order of moisture, hands, and the dining table. 1. Drytic Multi-purpose Water Remover Of the three, I reach for the Drytic the most. I used to just leave water on the sink if I was too lazy to get out a dishcloth, but now that I keep it standing upright next to it, I find myself wiping it up whenever I see it. I also like that I can put it back upright after use, so it doesn't make a mess. Sometimes, if there is a lot of water, it doesn't finish in one go, but it was definitely less of a burden when I needed to clean up small amounts of water immediately. It looks neat even when out and about, so I keep it next to the sink. 2. Lyocell Hand Towel Since I designated a specific item for drying hands, I find myself searching for it less often in the kitchen. The orange border on the ivory background makes it stand out more than a regular towel, and it doesn't really disrupt the kitchen atmosphere when hung up. 3. Mustard Dishcloth I use it separately for the dining table. The mustard color pairs well with wood, so when folded compactly and placed on a tray, the dishcloth looks like a kitchen accessory. Since it is a dishcloth, it still needs to be washed frequently, but assigning specific uses has made it much more convenient to use. A dry cloth for moisture, a hand towel for hands, and a mustard dishcloth for the dining table.
