After remodeling our older 22-pyeong apartment, there were so many people curious about the construction costs, so I’ve put together a brief breakdown by process! Since we are a dual-income couple, we didn't feel confident enough to handle the stress of a semi-DIY project, so we proceeded with a turnkey plan. Naturally, we couldn't do it in a cost-effective way 😅 However, thanks to finding a really great contractor, we didn't have to worry about much throughout the construction (we really just needed to prepare the money…!), and because there were no major defects and communication was excellent, it was a choice we don't regret even though we spent a lot of money ✨ ⚠️ Realistic tips that those preparing for a turnkey project really need to know! 1️⃣ The costs shown in the video are 'excluding VAT'... 2️⃣ There are huge hidden costs under the heading 'Misc'. (System air conditioner costs are also included in this Misc item!) 3️⃣ Since corporate profit and miscellaneous expenses are added, you shouldn't set your budget based solely on the main process costs shown in the video. In conclusion, the fact is that the actual total cost will inevitably be much, much higher than what you see on screen…! 💸 Even if it looks like a small amount per process, it really balloons later when VAT and other miscellaneous expenses are included. When creating a turnkey budget, don't just look at the costs per process; make sure to prepare with plenty of buffer!
