Among them, the stress that starts first is, the residents' "complaints" ㅠㅠ Remodeling usually generates the loudest noise during "demolition" and "system air conditioner" installation, and this happens right from the first day of remodeling. As soon as we started, we received so many complaints like, "Don't do the interior work," "Don't do it during the day," "Don't do it on certain days," or just "Don't do it at all." 🥲 They called constantly, interfering with our work, and even came to the site to tell us to decide whether or not to proceed with the construction. ㅠㅠ It was so stressful that there were countless times I wanted to cry. And the most awkward part is that this interior work could cause friction with our close neighbors. ㅠㅠ We moved here intending to live here for a long time, you know! So, after we finished all the interior work and completed the move and unpacking, my husband and I prepared garbage bags (10-liter/20-liter), a dehumidifier, a roll cake, and a handwritten letter on a Post-it note, and went to personally greet them. The good thing about delivering it in person was that we got to know the faces of the neighbors living there! Since then, we’ve gradually been exchanging greetings and asking how our neighbors are doing, getting to know them well haha. The days of filing complaints are long gone! We’ve been living in our new home for about a year now, and I don’t even remember when we received complaints a year ago haha. When we were young, everyone in the neighboring houses knew each other, but that kind of atmosphere is gradually disappearing in apartments. Fortunately, if you start exchanging greetings and reaching out first, it seems that surprisingly many people respond positively. I’m sure there are many people stressed out by interior design complaints. But you just have to hang in there for two days.. ❤️
