After remodeling our first newlywed home, the water strangely wouldn't drain. It turned out the wallpapering contractor had poured something—I couldn't tell if it was glue or something else—into the bathroom drain after the remodeling was finished.... ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ We eventually managed to unclog it and get it back to normal, but the process left scratches here and there, and I went through quite a bit of emotional distress. Before moving into our second home, I checked the drains and the inside of the bathtub stopper, just to learn from my previous experience. Sure enough..... there were plastic wrappers, various debris, trash, and the like inside. Ha... This photo was taken after my husband put on gloves and pulled everything out by hand, so it doesn't look as dirty, but it's still messy, right?🥹 It was even more ridiculous that there was trash inside the bathtub stopper as well. After bathroom remodeling, make sure the water drains properly. This applies to the sink, bathtub, toilet, and floor! I highly recommend checking everything in advance before moving in! You should bring gloves and check everything, even the inside. I’ve heard this happens very often 🥹 (A friend of mine found out the toilet wasn't draining well after moving in, so they had to take it apart right after moving in.) In addition to this, it's a good idea to check in advance if the silicone was applied properly, if there are any lifted areas, and if there are any scratches 🤍 Scratches, in particular, should be discovered before the move-in cleaning to make it easier to get after-sales service.
