Raising a baby, I’ve realized that rather than obsessing over decorating the living room, the best approach is to keep things as clutter-free as possible and hide them as much as I can. So, this is how we’ve organized our home👌🏻 1️⃣ Separating Play Areas We created a dedicated play area for the baby in one corner of the living room so they can play with toys there as much as possible. This allows them to naturally practice putting toys back in their proper place after playing, and it also helps prevent the entire living room from being covered in toys. Of course, they still try to escape with the toys, but it is definitely less messy than before we designated a play area. 2️⃣ Utilizing Dead Space The space between the floor-standing air conditioner and the sofa felt like a waste to leave empty, yet it was awkward to decide what to put there. We keep toys here that they don't play with often but are too good to throw away. In particular, colorful and bulky toys tend to stand out too much if left in the living room, but placing them in this space hides them to some extent, making them much less of an eyesore. Since you can't completely get rid of toys in a house with a baby, I think the best approach is to keep them there so the baby can play well, while keeping them as tidy as possible!
