The reason I am particularly obsessed with trumpet vines is quite simple. It is because seeing them reminds me of my maternal grandmother's house. I do not know how long they have been planted there. However, when summer comes, the orange blossoms hanging in clusters atop the green iron fence remain vivid in my memory. Perhaps that is why I wanted to plant trumpet vines at this house, too. I wanted to overlay the image of the Kim family's house onto the Lee family's residence. It was a very small wish of mine to see the scenery of both families, as I remember it, connected within one house. I hope the flowers bloom soon.
