N Ways to Grow Pilea Peperomia 🪴 1. Growing in a Pot - This is the most basic method. It is especially cute if you plant small offsets in a small pot! Since the pot is small, it doesn't weigh much, so growing it as a hanging plant wasn't a burden at all! 2. Hydroponics - If growing it in soil is difficult, I recommend hydroponics! Just place it in water and change the water! If you don't want the roots exposed, grow it in coarse sand or wild grass soil! I mainly use wild grass soil. Once a week in winter, and every 2-3 days in summer. I change the water every day when it's hot like it is these days. 3. Sphagnum Moss Ball - This is a method of growing it by wrapping the roots in sphagnum moss. It is convenient because you can simply soak it in water once the sphagnum moss dries out! Pilea Peperomia is not a plant that loves water. Most plants with thick leaves like Peperomia are like that! So, instead of watering frequently, give it a generous amount all at once when the leaves and stems start to droop. It is a gentle plant that won't die quickly even if you forget to water it for a day or two. It seems to grow best in light filtered through a window rather than direct sunlight. Also, whether in a pot or sphagnum moss, good ventilation is essential to allow the soil to dry out naturally and keep it safe from mold or overwatering! As the Pilea peperomioides grows, small, cute new shoots (offsets) will sprout from the soil or the base of the main stem. It is best to detach and plant these offsets! Please separate them when they have at least 3 to 4 leaves and have grown to about the size of a finger joint (about 3 to 5 cm) or larger! Once you try growing a Pilea peperomioides, you will realize that plants thrive even when watered carelessly. Also, since the methods for growing foliage plants are mostly similar, you will find it easy to grow other plants as well! #GrowingPilleaPepe #PlantInterior #EasyToGrowPlants #Hydroponics #InteriorPlants #PlantGrowing
