#리모델링하다생긴일 Our home is an older apartment complex built in 2005, making it 22 years old this year. Late at night, I received a text message from the real estate agent saying that a unit known as "RR"—the best in the complex—had become available. "Just how good is an RR, anyway?" My husband and I had already been living in the same complex for 10 years. We went to view the house the next day with a light heart, thinking, "Well, let's just go take a look and see how good it really is!" But lo and behold~ As soon as we opened the front door, we fell in love at first sight! 😍 I was already grinning from ear to ear, and my attempt to maintain a poker face in front of the real estate agent was a total failure! Hahaha. However, the price was so high that it far exceeded our budget, so we thought, "Ah, it's just a pipe dream!" But how are we living in this house now? ( I'll share that incredible story in detail in the next post! 🤭 ) Anyway, this house has finally come into our arms after many twists and turns! The previous owner reportedly spent a whopping 200 million won on interior renovations when they moved in back in 2005. I didn't believe it at first, but when the turnkey contractors came to give an estimate, they looked at it and said, "At this level, the story from 20 years ago seems like it could be true!" 😱 But to my eyes, it was just a haunted house that was impossible to live in without a complete demolition. ( I actually like it! Perfect justification for a full renovation! Lucky Vicky! 🍀 ) However, after stamping the contract and looking around the house carefully again, what on earth happened! The dark, gritty stains all over the walls were quite alarming. I thought it was just furniture marks, but the living room, kitchen, and bedrooms were all covered in black mold... "Could this be... a leak...?????" 😱 Fortunately, it wasn't a leak; it was condensation caused by rain pouring in due to old window frames and poor insulation. So, we decided that the biggest mission of our home remodeling was 'insulation'! ✅ Insulation first! ✅ Insulation second! ✅ Insulation third! We packed the interior walls, as well as the exterior, with plenty of insulation and completely redid the carpentry work! And the result? Ta-da! ✨ Even though it is a 50-pyeong (approx. 165 sq ft) home, the gas bill doesn't exceed 200,000 won in the middle of winter. I’m really feeling the rewards of spending money on insulation.🤭 The haunted house, which was full of black mold, has been reborn as this lovely white house!🤗 #OldBuildingRemodeling #온라인집들이 #50평대인테리어 #WhiteInterior #단열공사 #구축아파트인테리어 #VirtualHousewarming #턴키인테리어 #아파트리모델링 #InteriorRecord #홈스타일링
