I wondered if going all the way to LX for an interior door was a bit excessive, but after comparing several companies at the move-in fair, I instinctively chose LX because it looked the sturdiest. 📍Why I Chose This Design? To be honest, I agonized over the color countless times. 🌈 Color Our home is one where we decided to keep the apartment's basic interior as is, without doing any separate interior renovations. Following the advice of an expert that matching the color to the overall wallpaper is the safest bet in this case, I chose a white frame. To start with the conclusion, I have absolutely no regrets!! 🛤️ Rail I could have chosen a recessed rail in a color similar to the flooring, but honestly, it wasn't a color that matched the floor perfectly. Since it was going to be noticeable anyway, I decided to choose white, thinking it would be better to unify the color with the frame rather than awkwardly matching it to the flooring. Now that it's installed, I actually like how the slightly exposed rail looks like part of the design. 🔇 Functional Advantages I've Experienced While Using My husband's hobby these days is playing the guitar. When he plays, closing the middle door as well reduces my worry about the sound leaking out, which gives me a lot of peace of mind. In fact, when my husband was playing, I closed both the middle door and the front door and went outside to check. When standing still, I could barely hear any sound; I had to put my ear right up to the front door to hear it faintly. Of course, it isn't a professional soundproof door, but I can definitely feel its buffering effect in blocking everyday noise. I chose this middle door based on its design, but I am more satisfied with its functionality than I expected. 📍 Feng Shui Perspective I don't strictly follow Feng Shui principles, but I've heard that having the interior of the house clearly visible through a transparent middle door is considered bad Feng Shui. However, I wanted the painting inside to be visible immediately upon opening the front door. Due to the structure of our house, the view is such that the painting is directly in front of you when you open the front door. I didn't want to block that view, so I ultimately chose clear glass!! These days, there are really beautiful glass options like fabric-laminated glass, but at the time, that was an option not available at LX. If it had been available, I think I would have considered it at least once.
