#리모델링하다생긴일 #현장감리의중요성 I’d like to talk about the importance of on-site supervision 🥹 This is my second home, and I’ve felt the importance of on-site supervision both times! You pay them, they are professionals, so you think you can just trust them and leave it to them? No! You can never be completely at ease with interior design ^^.... I felt this across various stages of the process, but I’ll show you the biggest incident (?) that happened in my house :) * Especially if the worker has done the job many times, you can feel a bit more at ease because they have experience and accumulated proficiency. However, if the worker hasn't done the job many times, they are human too, so they can make mistakes and miss things. ➡️That is why you need someone to spot the parts the worker might have missed. Usually, the interior design CEO or manager handles this, but I highly recommend that the homeowner double-check everything 💪 In my bathroom, we installed a hotel-style vanity sink on top of a cabinet. Maybe because this is a rare type of fixture in Daegu... the worker's mistakes are everywhere 🥹 1. They were supposed to apply U-shaped silicone to the cabinet first and then place the sink on top, but they just placed it there and applied it in an L-shape only to the outside, causing water to leak all the way back... 2. The left and right sides of the cabinet are uneven. When I asked them to check the level, they stubbornly insisted that it couldn't be because they used a laser level during the work. So I asked them to bring the laser level over and take a look, but they grumbled that it couldn't be and that I was just creating extra work for them. When I used the laser, the level was actually off by 1cm ^^ Once I was right, they suddenly changed their tune and asked how I discovered this... Haha ㅠㅠ 3. They placed the cabinet on top of marble, and the finishing... I don't even know how to explain this... If you look at the photos, it's terrible, right? They probably thought I wouldn't be able to see it since it was on the floor ^^.. I shudder to think what would have happened if we had discovered this right before the move-in cleaning or after moving in.... It's terrifying just to imagine! Fortunately, because I kept going in and out during the construction and meticulously checked the areas as soon as they were finished, I discovered everything early and was able to request a rework♡ I requested a different, more experienced worker for the rework, and they completely tore everything out and reinstalled it for me :) My husband diligently removed the silicone, which was a trace of the previous faulty work^^ By this point, my trust in them had hit rock bottom. I was afraid they might scratch the sink or walls with a knife, so I couldn't trust them... and my husband did it himself. It was really hard to remove the silicone because the marble was rough, but the sticker remover I bought on Coupang was a huge help🤍 / The interior design of our previous house was tough, and this house was just as eventful for different reasons^^ If we had just trusted them and discovered the issues after moving in, it could have caused a major problem. However, thanks to meticulously supervising everything myself, we were able to complete the bathroom with a clean finish before moving in. ✔️Frequent on-site checks are essential rather than blindly trusting and leaving everything to them. It was so tough back then, but now that it has been a year and a half since we moved in, the memories of the hardships are fading, and I even find myself thinking that I could do a better job if I were to do it again. For those doing interior design, please make sure to personally oversee things from time to time, even if you have a site supervisor on staff 💪 #Supervision #현장감리 #인테리어 #인테리어에피소드 #욕실인테리어 #호텔식욕실 #호텔식화장실 #화장실인테리어 #선팔 #맞팔
