In the past, I used to hang pots and cooking utensils on the wall to make the kitchen more convenient to use. I thought it would be easier to leave frequently used items out in the open, but once I actually did, dust and grease would accumulate easily, and I ended up with just more places to clean. After that experience, I try to keep only the essentials out in the kitchen. 🤍 If you assign a designated spot for each item, putting things back after use doesn't take as long as you might think, and most importantly, since there are fewer things visible, the space looks much neater. Having empty space in the kitchen makes me feel calmer for no reason. The best thing about starting a minimalist lifestyle is that instead of constantly filling it with new things, I’ve come to cherish and use the things I already have more. With fewer items, cleaning has become easier, unnecessary consumption has naturally decreased, and above all, I love the comfort that empty space provides. I only emptied a little, but I gained so much more than I expected from a minimalist lifestyle.
