I actually like this setup better. The space looks much more spacious, and since each piece looks like a lounge chair, the living room feels a bit more chic :) It's a comfortable couch style when joined, and a completely different atmosphere when separated. I think the biggest charm of a modular sofa is being able to freely change the setup according to the space or your mood without having to buy new furniture.
